Lion Craft

Millwork is the backbone of a well-built hospitality space. It is the custom architectural woodwork and casework that defines how a room looks, feels, and functions — from the host stand a guest sees first to the bar die they lean against all night. At Lion Craft, our Millwork Division designs, engineers, and fabricates these elements in-house, translating an architect’s vision or a napkin sketch into shop-ready drawings and finished, installed work.

What We Build

  • Bars & back bars — bar dies, die fronts, drink rails, glass-rack soffits, illuminated bottle displays, and underbar millwork built to NSF-conscious standards.
  • Casework & service stations — base and upper cabinets, POS stands, server stations, expo counters, and back-of-house storage in frameless (European) or face-frame construction.
  • Host stands & reception desks — signature pieces that set the tone the moment a guest walks in.
  • Architectural paneling & ceilings — wall paneling, slat walls, wainscoting, feature ceilings, and trim packages.
  • Banquettes & built-in seating — framed substructures engineered to pair with our in-house upholstery shop.
  • Display & merchandising — wine walls, retail fixtures, and lighted casework that turns product into a focal point.

Materials & Craftsmanship

We work in solid hardwoods and architectural veneers — white oak, walnut, maple, ash, and rift-cut species — over engineered substrates selected for stability and durability. Paint-grade work is built in MDF and poplar for a flawless finish; high-traffic surfaces are clad in high-pressure laminate, thermofoil, or solid surface where moisture and wear demand it. Cabinet boxes are CNC-cut for precision, joined with dados, dowels, and pocket joinery, and fitted with soft-close hardware from Blum and Häfele.

Finishing happens in our controlled spray environment using conversion varnish, catalyzed lacquer, and hand-applied stains for a durable, food-service-ready surface. Our shop drawings and finished work are detailed to AWI Architectural Woodwork Standards (AWS), so what’s specified is what gets installed — tight reveals, consistent grain match, and edges that hold up to years of service.

From Concept to Install

Every project moves through design, engineered shop drawings, fabrication, finishing, and professional installation under one roof. Building millwork in the same shop as our metalwork, stone, and upholstery means tighter tolerances, a single point of accountability, and a finished piece where wood, metal, and stone meet exactly as drawn.
